Hanne-Vibeke Holst (born 1959) trained as a journalist. She is the author of a number of widely read and much-discussed books on the gender issue, many of them bestsellers not only in Denmark, but also in Sweden. Her last novel, Kongemordet [The Regicide], took the bestseller list by storm and became the fastest selling novel in Denmark to date.
