Ib Michael (born 1945) has written a long series of critically-acclaimed and much read works, among others Paven af Indien [The Pope of India] (2003). He has received the Danish Booksellers’ Golden Laurel, the Danish Critics’ Prize and the Danish Academy Prize. Titles like his breakthrough novel Kilroy Kilroy (1989), the fairytale inspired Prins [Prince] (1998] and the complex Kejserens atlas [The Emperor´s Atlas] (2001) shows us a great writer, shifting between literary genres such as the autobiographical and magical realistic.

His most recent novel Vilde engle [Wild Angels] (2009) forms the final part of the bestselling trilogy, also including Blå bror [Blue Brother] (2006) and Sorte huller [Black Holes] (2007).
