An expert panel in the Danish newspaper Jyllands Posten choses Vanillepigen by Ib Michael to be the most central Danish novel in the last 25 years.

Vanillepigen (1991) by the best-selling author Ib Michael has been elected as the most central Danish novel in the last 25 years by an expert panel in the Danish newspaper Jyllands Posten.

Congratulations!

Ib Michael (born 1945) has written a long series of critically-acclaimed and much read works, among others Paven af Indien [The Pope of India] (2003) and Prins [Prince] (1999). He has been translated into many languages.

This spring his new novel Vilde engle [Wild Angels] “”(2009) will be released and will with no doubt take the readers by storm.
