The Queen Sacrifice by Hanne-Vibeke Holst is No2 on the bestseller lists in Sweden

Bestselling title Dronningeofret [The Queen Sacrifice] is a high-tension thriller about women and power, a convincing and undisguised portrayal of high-level politics in modern Denmark. More than 100.000 books of the trade edition have been sold in Denmark and are now No2 on the bestseller lists in Sweden. Ing-Britt Ekberg at Albert Bonniers Förlag is Hanne-Vibeke Holst’s Swedish publisher.

Earlier this year Hanne-Vibeke Holst became the 60th Danish author to be awarded the prestigious award of the Danish booksellers, the Golden Laurels, for The Queen Sacrifice and was also awarded the Reader's Book prize, presented by the Danish Librarian's Association and the Berlingske Tidende newspaper.

The film rights of The Queen Sacrifice are sold to Bobfilm/Anna Croneman. Anna Croneman also produced the two previous novels by Hanne-Vibeke Holst as minseries with Swedish National Television, SVT.
