Dinosaur Feathers is the winner of DR’ s Literary Prize 2008/2009.

Sissel-Jo Gazan’s Dinosaurens Fjer [Dinosaur Feathers] was yesterday awarded Danish Broadcasting Corporation’s Literary Prize (DR Romanprisen) 2008-2009. The prestigious prize is voted for among more than 50 book clubs around Denmark and is accompanied by 25.000 kr.

Sissel-Jo Gazan’s novel Dinosaurens Fjer [Dinosaur Feathers] may have a pre-historic title, but is sure to be a novel of the future. In the extremely compelling thriller, Gazan reveals the tension within the research community, and the violent consequences of the fierce rivalry and prestige. Sissel-Jo Gazan meticulously and playfully plants links throughout the novel, and enriches the plot with scientific elements.

Being awarded DR´s Literary Prize Gazan’s scientific crime novel was highly praised by the jury for a fluent and contemporary language and its multiple layers.

Dinosaurens Fjer [Dinosaur Feathers] is the 4th novel from Sissel-Jo Gazan who is soon to be published in the U.S. by Harper Collins. The novel has now been sold to six countries and is nominated for Weekend-Avisen’s Literary Prize. It seems a very promising year for the talented young author.
