Naja Marie Aidt awarded the Søren Gyldendal Prize 2011

Her authorship includes praised collections of poems and short stories, among many others: Poetry Book, Baboon, The Watermark and latest Everything Glitters. The prize is given to an author possesing 'remarkable creative powers' and the jury states: 'naja Marie Aidt's insight in the human condition is continuously growing. She detests evasions and has no intention of nourishing the comfortable. She is brutal in her description of the exposed position of modern man, subjected to the conflict between instinct and civilisation'.

Along with the honor of the award follows 200.000 Danish kroner.
